Upcoming Female Development Workshops
On November 2nd (next Wednesday!) the Female Development Program will be hosting a CAAWS Effective Networking Workshop. Strong networking skills can be a valuable tool, both personally and professionally. This practical workshop will provide practical advice for immediate use at upcoming conferences and events, discuss strategies to tap into your network for new opportunities, and help you build and maintain your network for the future. Developed by women for women, this workshop is part of the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity's (CAAWS) Women and Leadership Program.
This workshop will take place from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm Wednesday Nov 2nd at Algonquin College Room P211b. To register for this workshop: https://goo.gl/forms/ZZLw3omqGKP0h4hB3. At this event we will be giving away two entries to the EODSA Conference happening Nov 5th.
On November 23rd the Female Development Program will be hosting a second CAAWS workshop; Women on Boards. Few women are involved as board members in organizations affiliated with the Eastern Ontario District Soccer Association. It is critical that women are around the table to have a say in decisions about how organizations are run, programs delivered, and money spent. If you have considered joining a board, or are interested in supporting other women in this role, this workshop is for you! Participants will learn about boards and how they operate, key factors to consider before joining a board, and how to recruit and retain women into these important leadership roles. This workshop will be delivered by the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity (CAAWS).
This workshop will take place from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm Wednesday Nov 23rd at Algonquin College room T334. To register for this workshop: https://goo.gl/forms/UMwmrkvpkSYcu7Qq2
