Why dont you become a referee?

If you would like to earn some extra cash consider becoming a referee? Referees can earn up to $60 a game in the NCISL.

When you are a referee you will also see the game from a new perspective as well as obtain a great new outlet for exercise.

To become a referee you will need to take a course and pass an exam. The NCISL won't be running a course this year but there are lots of courses being offered locally by other clubs. To search for a local course please click on the link below and search by District EODSA

Once you have passed your course you will only be able to referee in a clubs house league in 2018. However refereeing at this level will give you lots of opportunity to improve before you can referee in the NCISL. Then if you decide to register as a referee in 2019 you will be able to referee in the NCISL.

If you would like to find out more about becoming a referee please contact our head referee Andy Weston. Andy will be able to advise you throughout 2018 if you need assistance.
