The NCISL raise over $7,000 for the Children's Wish Foundation
The National Capital Industrial Soccer League today announced a successful first year for their partnership with the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada.
In 2006 the members of the NCISL raised $7,274.00 for the national based charity that supports the community by providing children living with high-risk, life-threatening illnesses the opportunity to realize their most heartfelt wish.
"This was a fantastic response from the members of the NCISL in our first year of supporting the Children's Wish Foundation. However I challenge all our members to beat that total in 2007" said NCISL President Tim Baigent.
"We are thrilled with the results" said Mara Barnett, Director of the National Capital Region Chapter. "In our region alone, we have granted close to 800 wishes. Every wish is as unique as the child himself - from a trip to Hawaii with their family, a custom-made electric guitar, to the ever popular Disney World trip to meet Cinderella and friends. Each wish creates a treasured memory for years to come. We are very pleased to continue our rewarding relations with NCISL and wish them every success with their latest challenge."
