Ottawa Beach Soccer Tournament

NCISL members are invited to the 1st Annual Ottawa Beach SoccerBlast, a Beach Soccer Tournament hosted by the Ottawa South United Soccer Association with Divisions for  Men, Women and Coed.

This two-day tournament will take place on May 26th & 27th, 2007 on the clean and beautiful beaches of Petrie Island, Ottawa. Each team will get a minimum of 3 games..

Format. Games are 5 v 5, 4 plus keeper, minimum 7 players and maximum 10 players per team. Substitutions will occur on the fly.

Fields are 30 yards by 40 yards. Each team will play 3 games (weather and other unforeseen conditions permitting) with a 4th possible for those advancing to the finals.

No shoes allowed. Players must play in their bare feet - socks, tape and ankle braces are allowed but there can be no hard reinforcements in the ankle brace. Sports knee braces with metal support are fine.

Location. All games will be played on the Petrie Island beach.

Awards Trophies will be provided for first place finishers in all divisions, medals for second.

Divisions will be formed by age as follows:

Men’s Open
Women’s Open
Men’s Recreational
Women’s Recreational
Adult Co-ed

The Entry Deadline is: May 15, 2007

The tournament entry fee is: $250
